Turtlebox was born out of frustration after repeatedly breaking “rugged” speakers that couldn’t truly handle outdoor conditions or deliver enough volume to cut through wind, waves, and engine noise, leading its founders to build their own ultra-durable, high-output speaker for personal use—one that quickly proved to meet a broader need among fellow adventurers. Rooted in their shared “Live Free” philosophy—developed during their time living together in Houston as a mindset of bold decision-making, rejecting fear of judgment, and embracing adventure—the brand reflects a lifestyle of spontaneity, community, and authenticity, ultimately inspiring them to turn their garage project into a company that empowers others to live the same way.
