Come be a Volunteer at Oregon’s Premier Whitewater Festival River Event
The Upper Clackamas White Water Festival is a non-profit organization that depends entirely upon volunteers to put this event on each year. The festival committee works on the event for over six months, planning and arranging all of the activities. Festival weekend begins Friday with the setup of the course rigging, announcer stand, PA system, registration/merch booth and helping the vendors find their set up locations. Some of the other positions needed are river safety, race starters, scorers, judges, bike patrol, sales and info and a dozen other jobs both in front and behind the scenes. We love having people who can dedicate their whole weekend or a full day, but even if you are only able to volunteer just a few hours, it would make the event so much better!
If you can volunteer, please check the box on your registration form indicating you would like to help. We will be sure to schedule around your racing time. It’s not hard work, it’s a lot of fun and makes you part of the best Whitewater Festival in the country! And of course, we need you to help make it happen.
